Capital Campaign

Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer helped break ground on renovations.

We are in the midst of a major capital campaign to raise funds to make much needed renovations to our center, including additional classroom and office spaces, improved parking, and an elevator for ADA compliance. The project also includes an energy efficiency retrofit to reduce our operating expenses, allowing Americana to redirect more funding towards our programming. While we have made great progress toward our goal, but need remains.

During these tough economic times, Americana continues to provide vital services to the community while also looking to the future in planning for these renovations, which will make an impact far into the future. These improvements will make the building a more safe and comfortable environment and allow us to operate more efficiently, redirecting money currently used for utilities and maintenance toward critical programming for youth and families. It will benefit the thousands that utilize this space each year, including Americana’s on-site partners, Family Health Centers and Jefferson County Public Schools.
