Americana World Festival

Americana World festival is a FREE, family-oriented event hosted annually in early June by the Americana Community Center.

This full-day event features international music and dance performances, foods from many cultures and countries, unique and colorful crafts and other international goods on sale from local vendors, community information booths, a children’s activity area, soccer tournament, and much more!

Our festival always has something for everyone. Past performances have included: the African Kyene Drum Ensemble; the Latin sounds of Kalor; Rwandan traditional dance with Malaika; Spanish dancers from Camino Flamenco; Mexican folkloric dancers from Arcoiris Latino; Caribbean Conspiracy; Hussam Al-Aydi and Baladna; the Burundi Master Drummers; the wonderful local band Appalatin; singer/songwriter Mitch Barrett; and Bosnian traditional dancers. Festival goers are encouraged to kick up their heels and join in the fun!

Many city and social service agencies that    serve the community conduct outreach on-site   at the festival. There will also be booths with crafts, information, and exhibits showcasing Americana’s community programs.

We hope to see you in 2012 for another diverse & exciting celebration of our community!
