Do your own taxes? Want to help folks in need? If you answered “Yes!” to any of these, please consider becoming a volunteer tax preparer for low-income families. Americana will again participate in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program in partnership with the IRS and the Louisville Asset Building Coalition. Training is free and no experience needed. Individuals and families that qualify for VITA help are able to have their taxes prepared free of charge, helping them benefit from certain programs, build resources, and develop financial literacy.
