Volunteers our essential to our services – providing extra support to implement a variety of programs. We would not be able to serve as many individuals without the help of volunteers. In 2011, over 8,000 volunteer hours were logged between individuals and group projects.
All volunteers must complete an application, background check (if 18 or over), and confidentiality agreement, and attend an orientation. Please contact (502) 366-7813 or volunteering@americanacc.org to learn more.
- Orientations are held at Americana at 6pm on the second Tuesday of each month
- A $10 donation to cover your background check is greatly appreciated
Current opportunities include:

Special Events: Extra volunteers are always needed at Special Events including the annual Americana World Festival (the first Saturday in June), Fall Festival and Winter Festival.
Group Projects: There are always opportunities to complete one-day projects at the Center. Usually these are improvement projects such as painting, cleaning or organizing. This is a great volunteer opportunity for businesses or student groups.
Fund-Raising: Americana Community Center is a non-profit organization that relies on the support of the community to continue providing services each year. Volunteers can help collect donations of program materials (i.e. school supplies, snack) and/or supplies for annual events (Halloween Costumes, hats & gloves, and toys). Volunteers can also help to raise monetary funds for the organization. Those interesting in fund-raising should talk with a management staff member before activities are carried out.
