Americana World Community Center and Common Earth Gardens have partnered to make this long-vacant, 2-acre space available for use by the refugee and immigrant community. With the support of both organizations, over 100 prospective gardeners have come together to create a shared vision for this space as well as a unique system of communal management to ensure the sustainability of this project.
What to bring:
-Yoga mat or towel
-Sturdy and comfortable shoes
-Gloves (if you have them)
-5 gallon buckets (if you have them)
Where we will be:
Feel free to park in Americana’s parking lot! The new garden space is located directly behind Americana’s soccer field on Kenwood Way.
Snacks and refreshments will be available for volunteers!
