Our After School program provides a safe and educational environment for school aged youth in the South Louisville area and ensures they have opportunities to develop academically and personally and to succeed in school and life.
Americana served 505 youth in the program during the 2010-2011 school year, with an average daily attendance of about 200 youth. The After School Program offers a variety of academic and enrichment activities, serving refugee, immigrant, and U.S.-born youth from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Over 90 percent of the children enrolled in the program are children of immigrants or refugees.
We also partner with Dare to Care Food Bank to offer Kids Cafe before after school programming to provide children a free, hot meal.
