Creative Arts Program

The arts are an amazing tool for growth and learning and brought to life at Americana through our Creative Arts Program (CAP). Whether it be a first grader who wants to talk about a painting of his family, a sixth grader building confidence in a hip-hop dance class, or a high school junior applying for the Governor’s School of the Arts, we have a place for them in CAP. With a balanced emphasis on creative expression, skill-based learning, and social development, CAP is an important component of the educational services provided in our After School Program.

Each week a multitude of activities in the visual arts, dance, and creative writing are offered on-site, along with monthly outings into the arts community and professional visiting artist workshops in all arts disciplines. Our programs are constantly developing to meet the unique needs and interests of our participants, and to share the skills and talents of our staff and volunteers.
We hope you will enjoy a sampling of CAP photos shown here, and support us in our mission to continue providing excellent arts enrichment programs at Americana.
