The Americana Volunteer Program offers long-term service opportunities, catering to individuals seeking to fulfill service hour requirements while fostering a fulfilling and collaborative experience for both volunteers and the communities we serve.
Getting Started
Orientation & Application As a trauma informed organization, we require all Americana volunteer candidates to complete an orientation session BEFORE applying to the Americana Volunteer program. This is done to insure all volunteers are informed and conscious of the space they will be working in. You will complete your application with the volunteer coordinator at the end of your orientation session.
Annual Background Check All Americana Volunteers are must have a comprehensive background check on file dated no older than a year from your start date as an Americana Volunteer. You will receive an invite to complete and submit your background check after submitting your application. We ask that you complete this background check within 72 hours of receiving it and renew it within one year of your start date. For example, if you start in May of 2024, your next background check is due anytime during the month of May 2025. Americana reserves the right to deny any volunteer candidate based on the review of their background check. Background checks are ordered and processed by Sterling Volunteers.
